The competitiveness of IMOS (in alliance with Tesol Group) in all the projects it takes on has a secret: The research centre where robots and customised automatic welding systems are developed for the widest variety and most complex of industrial projects. The automatic welding systems developed in this laboratory located in the north of Spain were the first to multiply the welding capacity of European shipyards, increasing productivity and reducing risks for workers.
The boiler making and offshore centre is one of the leading facilities in Europe specialising in welding technologies associated with high-volume manufacturing, particularly in the automotive industry. At this laboratory, professionals from different countries receive training in the operation of these systems, which significantly enhance the productivity of each worker.
Innovation requires a continuous commitment to mastering the latest technological advances. Alongside its research laboratory, IMOS operates a training centre dedicated to new technologies, automation systems, and other essential disciplines for the industry, including Quality Control, Welding Qualifications and Certifications, and Occupational Health and Safety. All IMOS instructors are certified by Lloyd’s Register and Det Norske Veritas (DNV). Half of the centre’s trainees are currently employed professionals.
